APC leaders are liars, failures – PDP chieftain
Plateau state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Damishi Sango, has described the APC- led administrations at both federal state and levels as; “liars.”
Sango made the assertion in Jos at the PDP interfaith Sallah celebration held at the instance of the state youth leader of the party, Hon. Iliya Zakari.
Represented by the state financial secretary, Mrs. Mary Adar, Sango lambasted the APC-led administration saying; “they thought governance is an easy thing, they have promised Nigerians that they will do a lot of things, but they have failed.”
Sango said they are now; “facing the reality of what is on the ground and they have nothing to offer to Nigerians than hardships, they are liars and their lies are disturbing.”
According to Sango they (APC), thought they have a man who is a political magician that could do miracles but they are liars.”
He urged the PDP youths to maintain their firmness and belief in the PDP, adding that they should continue with the grass mobilization towards resuscitating the party in readiness for the 2019
PDP leaders joins APC in Ondo
The camp of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Irele local government area of Ondo State, at the weekend, depleted as nine prominent leaders of the party led thousands of their followers to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors were some of the major financiers of PDP in the state.
They are: Prince Jimi Odimayo, former local government Chairman; Hon. Shedrach Olowojuni; Hon. Bayo Adekanle, former PDP House of Representatives aspirant; Moyebi Orimisan; Ladese Agboola; Hon. Damilola Oripinye; Akindele Olowokandi; Chief Luwoye and Chief Akingboju.
The defectors were received into the APC by the State Deputy Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, State Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya and the Assistant State Welfare Officer, Mr.
President Buhari is Nigeria’s major problem – Fayose
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as the major problem of Nigeria that Nigerians must solve.
Fayose said Buhari, through his actions and inactions, is destroying everything that makes Nigeria a country and well-meaning Nigerians must stand-up to be counted in the crusade to save the country from going under.
The governor said it was President Buhari that went to foreign countries to de-market Nigeria by calling all Nigerians thieves and dishonest people.
He asked: “Which foreign investor will invest his money in a country of dishonest people? Who made investors to leave Nigeria if not President Buhari, who created atmosphere of economic and political instability in the country by his acts of nepotism and vindictiveness?”

PDP decries Oshiomhole’s alleged vendetta against NTA reporters
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has decried the role played by Governor Adams Oshiomhole in the transfer of some reporters of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Benin, out of the state.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Chris Nehikhare said in a statement that “The heat generated by the intense electioneering in the Edo State 2016 governorship election may have made the audience of the news programmes of the Nigerian Television Authority, Benin to notice the absence of three remarkable reporters in the past three weeks.
“The three reporters are: Beauty Eghobamien, Cele Osayande and Christy Macaulay.
“These three reporters who have, over the years, displayed outstanding professional competence have been transferred from Edo State.

Ize-Iyamu will return Edo to Igbinedion ‘dark era’ – Oshiomhole
The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticised a former Governor of the state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, for saying Oshomhole’s successor will emerge from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Igbinedion, who governed the state between 1999 and 2007, had recently said that the next governor would not only emerge from his political family but that the party would win by a wide margin.
But Oshiomhole told journalists at the 84th birthday celebration of a former Governor of the Midwestern region, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia on Saturday that the state would not return to the ”dark era” of the opposition party.
The governor said that the task for residents of state on September 28, the day of the governorship poll, was to choose whether they wanted the house of Igbinedion, as allegedly represented by Pastor Ize-Iyamu, or they wanted to sustain the breakaway.
Join hands with Buhari to ensure prosperous Nigeria – APC tells PDP
The All Progressives Congress, Enugu State chapter, has stressed the need for the Peoples Democratic Party to join President Muhammadu Buhari in laying a solid foundation for a prosperous Nigeria.
The state’s chapter of the party in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Kate Ofor, decried “plot by PDP to bring back unbridled corruption into Nigeria”.
The statement added: “The plot was exemplified by PDP’s unwarranted propaganda against President Muhammadu Buhari.”
The statement explained that the scheme by PDP to bring back uncontrolled corruption made the party to keep heaping blame on President Buhari as the cause of the recession in the country.
The APC state chapter said: “PDP smartly exonerated its leadership of lack of planning and squandering the resources of the nation in the last 16 years.”

Proposed Lagos-Abuja rail: We won’t celebrate yet – Ekiti PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has said it would not celebrate what it describes as “mere promise by the Federal Government to include Ekiti State in the station routes of the Lagos-Abuja railway project” until it is delivered.
The party accused politicians already celebrating the proposed inclusion as “attention-seeking sycophants from the powers that be in Abuja. President Muhammadu Buhari has not done Ekiti any special favour by including the state in routes for a railway project that is still on paper.”
“Ekiti people are wise enough not to succumb to the propaganda of ‘we will’ that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is known for by praising President Buhari for what he has not done.”

Edo guber: Ize-Iyamu hopeful of PDP’s victory
The standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has expressed hope that he would win the governorship polls slated for September 28.
His campaign organisation said in a statement that he was encouraged by the huge support that he has received from Edo people and other well-meaning Nigerians.
Ize-Iyamu said he was unmoved by the alleged plotting by the Adams Oshiomhole-led All Progressives Congress (APC).
He urged all registered voters, including those living outside the state to vote for the PDP.
The candidate urged them to refuse the alleged inducement by Oshiomhole, his candidate, Godwin Obaseki and the APC.
He cautioned that the APC’s attempts to manipulate the election by distributing rice and salt, would not buy the voters’ conscience.
