Edo PDP cautions voters against selling PVCs

The leadership of Edo state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has advised eligible voters in the state against selling or given out their Permanent Voter cards , PVCs to some individuals who now engaged in an alleged illicit buying of voters cards for N10, 000.
PDP deputy state chairman , Mr. Emma Ogbomo said the ruling party, APC has resorted to the new antic after PDP punctured their purchase of PVCs .
Addressing members of the APC who joined the party at the campaign office of the PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in Benin City, Ogbomo posited
“It is their new trick to ask people for the numbers of their PVC and then offer them money for the revelation. We advise people not to sell their numbers because they may not be able to use their voter card on Election Day”.

Amongst those who decamped to the PDP are; Sunny Omokaro, former state chairman, Butcher Association of Nigeria, APC and UPP members including Mrs. Patience Ehigiator, UPP state women leader.
The PDP deputy state chairman, promised to galvanize support of butchers in the state for the election of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the governor of Edo state.
On his part, Omokaro said he returned to PDP after he read a copy of Pastor Ize-Iyamu manifesto, ‘Simple Agenda’ adding it contains credible and practical blueprint which he believes can be efficiently implemented to elevate the state.
“I have read the copy of the Simple Agenda and I know that it has the potential to take Edo state to the next level. This is why I decided to leave the APC and rejoin the PDP”, he said.
Ize-Iyamu who commended Omokaro for his bold decision despite all the intimidation and threats, said the PDP does not discriminate.
He said Omokaro’s decision to stand where most of Edo People are standing at this time shows that he is a man who will not betray his conscience having been in the forefront of those committed to developing the state.
